This summer the Orlando housing market continues to demonstrate notable increases in home sales and prices. There was a staggering 42% increase in sales this June compared to June of 2020. According to the Orlando Regional Realtor Association there were 4,414 homes sold last month, versus the 3,103 sales last year. 

The overall median price has increased 19% over last year’s reporting. The median price of Orlando homes sold in June is $315,000, which have increased from $265,000 last June. 

One category of the Orlando housing market in particular saw a major increase in sales. Townhome sales saw a 22% increase in median price, but offered a staggering 50% increase in sales. 

When it comes to growth, Orlando continues it’s impressive rate of new residents. We continue to see 1,000 plus new residents every single week, especially in the medical, hospitality, and technology sectors. Nearly 21% of Orlando’s residents have been here less than four years, ranking No. 6 in the nation, behind Las Vegas, Phoenix, Jacksonville, Nashville and Tampa.

• Overall inventory for single-family homes decreased 62% when compared to last year. 
• Single family home sales increased an impressive 36% this June, along with a 26% median price increase. 
• New listings are up 21% compared to last year.
